How To Draw DNA Step By Step Every

How To Draw DNA. In every living organism, there is something called deoxyribonucleic acid that contains genetic information that helps that organism grow and function. This name is quite complicated, which is why it is more commonly called DNA. It is depicted in a rather complex structure, so learning to draw DNA is difficult since it has such a specific physical structure.

This guide you’re about to follow will break it down and show you that it can be easier than you think! This step-by-step guide on how to draw DNA in 6 steps will make drawing this amazing structure fun and easy for you! You can draw many more characters like batman drawing easy, Anubis drawing, cat drawing, cobra drawing, blueberry drawing, coconut drawing and many more drawing for kids.

Step 1:

To start this guide on how to draw DNA, we’ll start with the twisted outer frame of the molecule. It’s the backbone of DNA, which helps hold everything together. This is also the hardest part of the structure to draw! However, you don’t have to worry because we’ll take it easy. Here’s a trick you could use to make it easier for yourself. Using a light pencil,

look closely at our reference image and draw a few simple lines following the spine’s shape. Once you’ve drawn these twisted pencil lines, you can use your ballpoint pen or a darker pencil for the actual outline of the spine. As you draw, please do your best to reproduce the lines exactly as they appear in the reference image, as we will add elements to them later. Take your time, and we can continue when you’re ready!

Step 2:

For this second part of your DNA drawing, we will draw the inner “scale” of the drawing. These straight structures are the ones that contain the DNA chain information. Using a ruler, you can draw the first two of these “rungs” at the top of the molecule. With the way the spine curves in this section, we won’t see the ends of these rungs.  This will be a different story for the next section because, looking at the inner spine section, we will see the ends of these wires.  You can then draw the next section of steps as they appear, and then we can move on to step 3!

Step 3:

Taking what you learned in the previous two steps, you can now add another section to this step of our DNA drawing guide. This means extending some curved lines down for the next section of the spine, then adding straight lines for the next three rungs.

Step 4:

You’ve already mastered it! There will be another section for this DNA strand that you will draw, and in the next step of your DNA drawing, we will add some more of the backbone. It will be as you have drawn it so far. Try to imagine the physical strand of the spine and how it would twist if it were, for example, made of duct tape. This thought and the reference image will guide you in correctly placing this spine piece. Then we have some final details to add in the next step, so let’s get to it!

Step 5:

Now it’s time to complete the molecule’s structure in this step of our DNA drawing guide! First, you can draw two more rungs of the DNA ladder, as shown in our reference image. Next, we’ll draw more spine for this last section around the ends. This strand of the trunk will flow logically from where it would join the previous span. Finally, you can add the ladder’s last rung and draw the ends of the spine. So you have finished drawing!

There are also several ways to take this drawing even further. One idea would be to find a labeled DNA diagram and label your drawing. You can also draw additional details or add more threads in the background! These are just a few ideas you can choose from, but what else can you think of in the end?

Step 6:

DNA is often depicted with lots of bright colors, which we used when coloring in our example for this DNA drawing. You can use our reference image to replicate this color set, but you can also use a few colors to finish it nicely! Once you’ve chosen your colors, you have a few options for the art mediums you can use. It would help if you used mediums that give you more control over intricate color detail.

Finished Drawing!
